Case Study – Inphi Corporation Launch

Challenge:

Inphi Corporation, a components company in the optical networking space, not only was entering a crowded market, but was seeking to displace dated technology with a new indium phosophide compound.  To do so, the company needed to exit “stealth mode” with an aggressive and highly visible launch.

Strategy:

Recognizing the power of Inphi’s disruptive technology, Corridor Communications targeted the Wall Street Journal for an exclusive on the launch of the company, and succeeded in securing the interest of the technology reporter.  We convinced the reporter that Inphi would be a perfect fit for the “Under the Radar” section, as no one had heard of the company, yet they were introducing the world’s fastest integrated circuits for optical networking.  Five interviews later, her article appeared as a standalone feature, complete with a drawing of the CEO and Inphi’s logo.

Impact:

The Wall Street Journal piece blasted Inphi into the marketplace, drawing immediate market response and demand, not only for the company’s breakthrough solutions, but for its executives as industry experts among media and conference organizers.
